Cabletron resellers will have the opportunity to prove they know what they're doing, by under-going a new certification program introduced last week by the company.
The Cabletron Certification Program offers curricula in internetworking and network management.
There are two levels of certification: the Cabletron Specialist (CS) and Cabletron System Engineer (CSE). It consists of a series of classes comprising practical and theoretical elements.
Participants will become competent in design, implementation, config- uration and troubleshooting for Cabletron's enterprise switching and management solutions.
The CS certification focuses on specific products and technologies, while the SCE certificate requires participants to pass a set of specialist certificate courses.
Ian Fewtrell, Cabletron's managing director for Australia and New Zealand, said the course will give end users the choice of a range of organisations and channel partners offering guaranteed levels of quality support.
"Our global certification program assures consistent delivery of technical services, whether from Cabletron or from one of our partners," he said.
The training will be carried out by Sylvan Prometics (1800 806 944).
