Bay Networks has appointed its new channel manager, poaching former Anixter sales guy Gary Starr to take on the position of regional channel manager for Australia and New Zealand. This means Bay will, for the first time in a year, have one person in charge of channel operations. Since former national channel manager Martin Christmas was given an Asia Pacific position, Bay's channel managers have only been given regional responsibilities.
However, with the recent resignation of Steve McLoughlin, managing director Steve Rust has decided to reinstate the national position. Bay is still on the hunt for someone to manage channels for NSW.
