CSC boosts senior ranks

Computer Sciences Corporation have made two new appointments, with former PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Chris Cook announced as vice president, sales and business development and Rod Paine promoted to the role of vice president, enterprise business solutions.

Paine has been working for CSC since 2000 following the acquisition of BHP IT and was most recently responsible for the applications management of global CSC client BHP Billiton.

Paine has held several senior account executive positions for major CSC clients in the resources, commercial and government sectors. He will now be responsible for over 1300 staff across Australia.

Cook was previously involved with Ericsson where he was responsible for the outsourced network management of Hutchison 3G, Telstra satellite, Commander voice and data, Bright broadband and Telecom NZ mobile networks, as well as leading the software and hardware support team for the Ericsson network, Australia and New Zealand.

CSC CEO Mike Shove said the appointment of Cook will further boost the CSC sales and management team.

"Chris has an outstanding track record in a wide range of IT and outsourcing activities," Shove said.

"He will be using his extensive experience to drive the CSC sales team forward and expand the company's presence in a number of markets."
