Hyundai PC reseller, Global Trading Industries, might not have taken any phone calls last week but its relieved customers are starting to see their orders arrive.
A plethora of customers contacted ARN over the past fortnight, concerned that they might not receive computers they had purchased from the Bankstown-based reseller, but two have now said that their models had arrived.
Both customers said they had been waiting over six weeks for delivery of their computers, but were nonetheless relieved. Both had contacted consumer affairs authorities in their state prior to the computers being delivered.
Some of the orders are being fulfilled by GTI’s wholesale partner, PC-Club.
PC-Club director, David Lee, said he could not have anticipated the problems the wholesaler and reseller would face during the sales campaign. “We are trying to fulfil as much as we can,” he said.
Global Trading Industries, which appeared to have shut up shop last week, is advertising a new phone number (02) 9783 0000 after its 1300 sales line was disconnected. As yet, ARN has been unable to get through on this number.
