MessageLabs flags Associate partner program

MessageLabs is planning to launch its global Associate Partner Program in Australia next month following the appointment of a new partner account director.

Based in Sydney, Belinda Burgess said her first task would be to formalise the messaging security and managed services vendor's channel structure.

"The Australian market is mature so a managed service offering is very relevant," she said. "The first step in expanding our business is building a dedicated channel around the programs we have on offer."

The company is looking to attract partners that have a managed service or security focus.

Burgess said there were no specific target markets because its product range catered for a wide variety of businesses from large enterprises through to SMB.

The tiered MessageLabs Associate Partner program consists of three levels - associate, certified and alliance partners.

The entry-level program would help partners to build revenue, increase customer attention and expand their business network, Burgess said.

As an incentive, partners are offered a commission based on the success of each referral to its product range.

Burgess' position is one of three appointments made by the vendor this month. It has also appointed a new marketing director, Andrew Antal, and client services manager, Tom Chan.
