Network security and support service integrator, Evolve IT, will expand out of its home base in Melbourne next year and open its first subsidiary office in Perth.
Business development manager, Clayton Moulynox, will head the Perth division.
He said setting up a location in Perth was a strategic and opportunistic move.
"For the past five years the company has been focused on becoming national," Moulynoux said. "It's a good move for us in terms of the connections that we have over there. Perth is taking off at the moment, more so than some of the eastern states."
Evolve would hire new staff and move some existing staff into the Perth office, which would see a headcount of six running the premises by the end of the financial year.
The Perth office would mainly provide helpdesk support, network security and remote server monitoring. Moulynox said he would specifically focus on the SME market.
"We would look to integrate IBM, HP and Microsoft Small Business Server products to help small businesses take advantage of technology that enterprise companies always have," he said. "This includes remote services, email servers and internal intranet."
The company is also aiming to expand its Melbourne office through bringing on some extra sales and technical staff throughout next year.
