IT retailer, Harris Technology, has established a second new business centre in Cannington, WA to meet escalating customer demands.
National retail area manager, Paul Kelly, said the new store would allow it to better service the needs of its western-based customers. Harris Technology has another store in Osborne Park.
The new site is about 200sqm and features a showroom and technical services support area. It will also incorporate new in-store concepts such as Print Live, which allows customers to test print their own documents and images from a variety of demonstration printers.
Customers can test drive the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and Office 2007 productivity suite, which have been loaded onto PCs in-store.
"This is a really exciting concept, and provides our customers with the ability to compare print quality over a wide range of inkjet and laser printers," he said. "This will provide our customers with extra peace of mind when purchasing and allow them to make the right decision for their own specific needs." Gareth Twomey will head up a sales staff of seven.
Harris Technology has also completely refurbished its Osborne Park store and increased its size.
"Customers can now enjoy a wider range of products and leading brands," Kelly said.
The Cannington location is Harris Technology's ninth store.
Kelly said he would continue to look to expand into new areas.
Harris Technology is owned by the Coles Group.
