Earth Hour, the grass-roots event that started in Sydney, Australia is now just a week away. More than 680 cities in 76 countries are already signed up to take part.
The program aims to encourage a billion people to turn off their lights, to raise awareness about global warming. The date has also become a focal point for friends and family who gather to enjoy a candle-lit evening together.
