Melbourne IT (ASX:MLB) chief operating officer (COO), Andrew Field, has resigned from his post after a decade of service.
Field was headhunted and will be moving on to a chief financial officer (CFO) role at Superpartners, the largest superannuation administrator in Australia.
Joining Melbourne IT in 1999, Field spent eight years as the company’s CFO before being appointed COO in January 2008. He previously worked as a consultant for SMS Management and Technology.
As a COO, Field continued his CFO duties and was responsible for finance and corporate planning and communications for the company.
Field will officially sign off August 7. In a statement, Melbourne IT said it will seek a replacement CFO immediately.
In late April, Melbourne IT (ASX:MLB) key brand, WebCentral, took the wrappers off its online data protection product, Managed PC Backup.
