Networking solutions partner, ICT Networks, has become a top-tier Elite Enterprise Partner with Juniper.
“It validates our technical expertise within the Juniper range and allows us to market our services with that Elite brand,” ICT Networks CEO, Rob Kingma, said. “We’re already seeing returns on that investment and we had a particularly good start to the calendar year.”
According to Kingma, the upgrade comes after 10 months of training and accreditation for engineers and sales staff between March-December 2009. The upgrade comes after a strong 2009 for the company, which helped fund the expensive process.
“The cost of accreditation comes to having network engineers away for periods of time while they go through their studies, go on training courses or finalise their exams. It’s the same thing for both sales and pre-sales staff – there has certainly been a cost to the organisation,” he said.
But Kingma said the result was always going to be part of its strategic goals and claimed the new status was key to maintaining revenue growth.
“Our organisation continues to look for 100 per cent year-on-year growth,” he said. “We believe the Elite partnership opens the door to continue on that path. It certainly opens up opportunities for us to take further certification with Juniper.”
While better pricing and branding was beneficial in its own right, the forming of a very close partnership with the networking vendor was the essence of the SI’s roadmap, Kingma said.
“We are heavily invested in Juniper. Our ultimate goal for the organisation is to be seen as the largest Juniper specialist integrator in the Australian marketplace,” he said. “By the time we reach the end of the quarter, we’ll have recouped our costs.”
