Port Melbourne to gain another 500 racks of space for mid-market customers

Harbour MSP is developing a new Melbourne datacentre to meet escalating demand in the region.

The datacentre, to be located in the Port Melbourne area, will join Sydney and Singapore datacentres in providing 24/7 infrastructure monitoring, management, security, networking, private cloud deployment and disaster recovery to the Melbourne market.

In a release, Harbour MSP commercial director, Andrew Hardy, said the facility was being designed to service the mid-market sector of business between 100 to 500 seats in size.

“We are very pleased to extend our footprint in Victoria to help customers who are looking for high-end datacentre and IT managed services capabilities,” Hardy said in the release.

The facility will occupy around 1000 square meters and provide around 500 racks of space. It is being designed as a tier three datacentre.
