Two resellers on-board already

Comments

Australia has become the third country in the world to offer Google’s business search engine with two resellers already on-board for the product.

The Internet search engine stalwart launched the Google Commerce Search locally. It is aimed at Australian retailers that can employ the search tool on their own website. The tool allows site visitors to browse or search through a website with filters for attributes such as price, category and brand.

Commerce Search was launched in the US and UK late last year.

Cloud computing company, Neon Stingray, and Google enterprise partner, HEDLOC, are the first two resellers appointed for Commerce Search in Australia.

“Consumers are already very comfortable with the ease of using Google Search for information, so it’s a logical extension to offer this during the online shopping experience,” Neon Stingray CEO, Chris Flintoft, said in a statement.

“We expect e-tailers to get on board rapidly with Commerce Search given the impressive results seen in other mature international markets.”

Pricing starts at $US25,000 per year.
