System integrator, Datacom, has recorded positive financial results despite the global financial crisis.
Net profit increased 13.8 per cent to $24.5 million for the financial year ending March 31. Overall revenue increased by 9.5 per cent to $543m across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Pre-tax profit increased 8.8 per cent to $34m.
Datacom noted staff numbers grew 10 per cent to 3383 employees across the business.
The Australian and Asian operation increased its revenue by 11.4 per cent this year and has passed the $300m threshold.
Datacom stalwart, Michael Browne, was recently promoted to group CEO. He has been with the company since 1992 and was previously the CEO of Australia and Asia.
In his new role, Browne will have full responsibility for all operations within the business. He plans to work closely with Greg Davidson in New Zealand.
In May, Datacom purchased a datacentre in Perth for $10m.
