Thomas Duryea launches new private cloud offering

IT consultation firm introduces Cloudium at the vForum in Sydney

Thomas Duryea Consulting has launched its private cloud offering, Cloudium, at the vForum in Sydney.

Cloudium is deployed onsite to alleviate concerns over control and the location of data common in multi-tenanated shared virtual infrastructure solutions. It demands no upfront costs. Computing, storage and virtualisation capacity is scalable.

A buy-back program for old hardware is a deal sweetener and clients can also use their own software licenses.

Thomas Duryea CEO, Andrew Thomas, said existing cloud offerings lack choice, flexibility, security and control over IT environments.

“This was not in line with our customer centric, solution-led approach,” he said. “Cloudium has been designed to provide more security and control, making cloud more relevant for organisations today.”

Development of Cloudium was spearheaded by Thomas Duryea national practice manager of cloud services, Nick McMenemy.
