The Missing Link buys Artis Group infrastructure team

Network integrator purchases the infrastructure services team from Artis Group propelling it into the enterprise market.

Network integrator, The Missing Link, has purchased the infrastructure services team of IBM business partner, Artis Group, for an undisclosed sum.

The Missing Link managing director, Alex Gambotto, said the infrastructure services team of Artis specialised in the enterprise space, which was a market it was looking penetrate.

The Artis infrastructure division focuses on design, procurement, implementation and management of client’s networks.

“We met up with the directors of Artis and we ended up finding a synergy between us,” Gambotto said. “They came to our office and realised the infrastructure, procedures and policies that we had implemented was exactly what they believed they needed.”

Nine weeks into the acquisition, Gambotto said the integration process had been relatively seamless between the two companies.

“Although we were focusing on different spaces, we found very little cross over, which was a huge benefit for us because when their staff came in there was no redundancies and it was a positive vibe,” he said.

As part of the acquisition, The Missing Link has added 16 staff to the fold.

"We were missing that enterprise skill set. We were much better at the lower-end support for business with sub 5000 seats and we now have expertise well above that," Gambotto said.
