Introduces 2012 beta version of Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security

Software vendor, Symantec, has released the 2012 beta editions of the Norton AntiVirus and Internet Security.

The betas include:

  1. Insight 3.0 automatically recognises and blocks new malicious software
  2. Download Insight has been restructured to present consumers with extra information on if an application instigates stability concerns before installing it on their PC
  3. An updated Sonar 4.0 behavioural protection program detects and disables suspicious threats
  4. An updated user interface offering fast access to the Norton Cybercrime Index, which notifies consumers about potential online hazards, the day’s top harmful websites, the most seized search terms by cybercriminals, top scams, theft and spam issues.

The Norton Internet Security beta has an added feature – a revamped Norton Identity Safe, which contains advanced login and form recognition technology and the capacity to save passwords in the cloud; allowing accessibility from any computer installed with Norton 360 or Norton Internet Security.

Consumers with limited data plans can also use the programs, as they both enable bandwith conservation by postponing non-critical Norton activities.

The Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security beta editions can be downloaded for free from the Norton beta website.
