CA Technologies opens new office in Canberra

Barton branch to further meet the technology needs of the Federal government

IT management software and solutions company, CA Technologies, opened its new Federal facility in Barton, Canberra.

To mark the historic milestone, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, Senator Kate Lundy officially opened the new facility.

As well as fulfilling a sales role, CA Technologies Federal Region will provide technical services to the Federal government, ACT government and private sector customers across the ACT.

The Canberra office now employs more than 25 staff, with new additions to the workforce to be made in the coming months.

The highlight for attendees to the opening was a demonstration of the CA Services developed Performance Analysis system that is used by Brumbies Rugby to monitor on-field performance of the team and its individual players.

The project was a collaboration between CA Technologies R&D Labs, the University of Canberra, the Australian Institute of Sport and Brumbies Rugby.

“The investment that CA Technologies has made in this facility and in our highly skilled staff, is a clear demonstration of our commitment to supporting our Federal Government customers and addressing their IT management challenges,” CA Technologies Australia & New Zealand vice-president and general manager, Brenton Smith, said.

“It has been very encouraging to see such a positive collaboration between all who have been involved in the development of the Performance Analysis system being used by Brumbies Rugby.”

By opening the new office, CA Technologies hopes to do more than just partner with government and wants to team up with Canberra organisations to supporting local innovation and develop new ICT solutions.
