The OptiView XG network analysis tablet
Network tester, Fluke Networks, recently announced it will soon launch its latest network analysis tablet, the OptiView XG.
The tablet, designed for network engineers specific to the mining and manufacturing industries, automates root cause analysis of network and application problems by connecting, analysing and troubleshooting from anywhere in the network.
It runs on the Windows 7 Professional system.
The OptiView XG network analysis tablet includes five key features: automated analysis and guided troubleshooting, integrated wired and wireless technology, 10 Gbps ‘on the wire’ analysis, path and infrastructure analysis and 24-hour trending of interface utilisation and errors.
The company aims to decrease troubleshooting time and increase time spent on other initiatives with the product.
Fluke Networks program manager, Wayne Allen said, “The OptiView XG network analysis tablet is not supposed to replace the network management system but rather, aid it”.
He said the company had already received 12 potentials and six orders in a week – including the Australian government.
According to Allen, gold priority members using older Fluke Networks’ tablet models can upgrade to the OptiView XG with a product swap and a special discount.
It will be available in three ranges directly from the company as of June 15 and prices vary with models.
