iStar initially lacked a desktop and application virtualisation management solution, which made its infrastructure increasingly difficult and costly to manage.
The company was seeking a solution that reduced hardware costs, decreased power consumption and optimise the physical space available for hardware.
It also required an end-to-end desktop and application solution to decrease the need to spend time and resources across multiple platforms and let it deliver its complete suite of services via the cloud.
The key results to its managed services include reduced cost of managing data centre infrastructure and delivery services via the cloud; flexible and fast delivery mechanism in developing and delivering its services to customers.
It also eliminated the need to train the technical team in developing its skills across multiple platforms.
