TouchType Ltd. has devised an app that adapts to your mobile typing style regardless of whether it is accurate and careful or speedy and imprecise.
SwiftKey X, an updated version of SwiftKey, personalises text predictions based on your Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and SMS typing.
It adapts the touch-sensitive areas of its AI keyboard and fine-tunes typing styles to match the way you use your phone – not just based on the words you use, but also how you type.
There is a choice of two options; precise for prediction-led users to allow the app to complete words, and rapid if users prefer to write words in full but make errors and typos, with SwiftKey taking care of the errors.
The app, built to work with only smart phones, also features an added cloud personalisation, a new prediction engine and UI improvements for fast messaging and efficiency.
The language technology assures security as it does not store any password data and all language learnt on the device is non-transferrable.
There is a similar app for tablets, SwiftKey Tablet X.
Pros: Manages up to three language support at once without having to switch between them.
Cons: Predictions do not appear in email clients for some devices, such as the HTC Thunderbolt, and has only has three customisable settings.
Verdict: Makes typing effortless with word precision and correction.
