National ICT solutions company, Data 3, has backed the imminent appointment of its managing director, John Grant, as inaugural chairman of the Australian Rugby League’s Independent Commission.
Grant said while he will be working towards advancing the game, his primary focus will be on his responsibilities as managing director of Data#3.
“It is a terrific honour to accept this role with the support of the company and to participate in such a historic development in the future of the rugby league,” he said.
Data 3 chairman, Richard Anderson, said the board recognised the scale of Grant’s task and supported his undertaking.
“It is a great compliment to him personally and to the ongoing success of Data#3 that the selection committee has seen it the same way,” he said.
