Former Nortel Asia CIO, Rick Seeto, will take the reigns at Avaya as managing director for Australia and New Zealand, following the departure of Rob Wells.

Wells leaves the vendor for a start up venture on Friday 17 February, according to the company.

Seeto has held various senior management positions at Avaya and Nortel, most recently as senior director for channels and marketing.

The appointment is likely to be an interim one, however.

According to a statement from Avaya, “Rick will lead the ANZ business until a permanent appointment is made”.
