Thomas Duryea partners with Good Technology for mobility tools

ICT consulting firm to leverage vendor’s multiplatform enterprise mobility portfolio

Thomas Duryea Consulting has signed a deal with California-based Good Technology to make use of their enterprise mobile solutions.

As part of the deal, Thomas Duryea will incorporate Good Technology’s offerings into its own EnterpriseTM suite, which combines security, data loss prevention, and collaboration for smartphones and tablets.

Thomas Duryea Consulting EIS national practice manager, Rhys Evans, said the partnership with Good Technology was the result of “huge demand” from the consulting firm’s customers for tablets and assistance with implementation of BYOD programs.

“Security is a big issue for many, and by partnering with Good Technology we are able to better support their needs by offering them military-grade security with ease of use and management, making it a perfect fit for our customers,” he said.

Thomas Duryea was attracted to Good Technology due to it being a “clear leader” in mobile device management, as well as their solutions offering a simple and “most secure” platform.

“We were also very impressed with Good’s product roadmap, especially the development of Good Dynamics, which gives users the ability to ring-fence apps inside the secured Good container,” Evans said.

“Apps under development include office productivity, document mark-up and business intelligence dashboards which will be very well received by our clients.”

As for how Evans sees this partnership complimenting Thomas Duryea’s strong mobile and bring-your-own-device (BOYD) push of late, he sees the partnership with Good Technology as a “natural extension” of the work the consulting firm currently does in the two areas.

“Our solution architects work with customers to show them where tools such as iPads can be most effectively used, and recommend how IT departments can provide a simple way for their staff to access company applications and data,” he said.

Evans also added that Thomas Duryea’s clients are often advised to take a “holistic approach” to mobility. Through its partnership with Good Technology, it will aim to provide them with a “highly secure and flexible platform” so they can better manage the mobile devices in their enterprise.
