Paul Brandling leaves HP Australia

Long time HP veteran leaves the technology giant, replacement already named

After a 19-year career with Hewlett-Packard (HP) in Australia, HP South Pacific managing director, Paul Brandling, has announced his departure.

HP Enterprise South Pacific media and analyst relations manager, Stephanie Aye, said Brandling’s leadership during that time as “outstanding”.

It included 12 years as country managing director.

“During that time HP has continued to grow and deliver great value to consumers, business and government in Australia and New Zealand,” Aye said.

“We thank him for his leadership and commitment to our clients, stakeholders and employees, and we wish him well in his retirement from HP.”

With Brandling’s departure, HP has appointed David Caspari as managing director of HP South Pacific and general manager of HP’s enterprise group.

Caspari joined HP in 2007 as sales senior vice-president for Asia-Pacific and Japan.

Aye said Caspari’s past experience with HP and the IT industry made him ideally qualified to head up the South Pacific outfit.

“He has a deep understanding of the needs of clients in Australia and New Zealand from his term as VP HP Enterprise Services South Pacific,” she said.

“His strong experience will contribute immensely in HP’s ability to create great value for organisations in Australia and New Zealand.”

Aye confirmed that Brandling will working with Caspari to ease him into the role.

His plans for the future were unknown at the time of publication.
