inTechnology teams up with GroupLogic for BYOD play

As the vendor's first distributor in Australia, inTechnology will take over GroupLogic's partner program and recruit more resellers.

Specialist distributor, inTechnology, has been signed as the first distributor for enterprise software vendor, GroupLogic, to flesh out its bring-your-own-device (BYOD) capabilities.

GroupLogic’s software is used to connect users to enterprise content securely on a number of different devices. One of the company’s biggest drawcard is its capability to integrate Apple Machintosh, along with other third-party devices, into Windows-based IT infrastructures commonly used in business scenarios.

inTechnology managing director, Mark Winter, the decision to sign with the vendor was partially born out of a personal requirement.

“I wanted the ability to have an enterprise file sharing solution I could use on my iPad,” Winter told ARN. “I went out and found the only vendor in the globe at that point that actually had that type of technology.

“That’s really how we came across GroupLogic and we have been working with the vendor, watching what it was doing, discussing opportunities in Australia, and finally decided to sign a deal together.”

GroupLogic’s software also complements the mobile device management (MDM) product developed by inTechnology’s existing vendor partner, Absolute software. All this fits into the distributor’s BYOD strategy.

“We see BYOD as a key solution set we are going to be moving down into over the next 6-12 months as technology develops,” Winter said. “This basically allows us to extend that portfolio and allows channel partners to provide more of a full solution than just point solutions.”

inTechnology is GroupLogic’s first distributor in Australia. The vendor had been working directly with five resellers in the last year and those relationships with now be managed by inTechnology.

The distributor is taking over GroupLogic’s partner program and expanding it to more channel partners.
