Foxtel is expected to release its Foxtel Go app on Google's Android platform.
Latest rumours suggest the app will be available exclusively for Samsung mobile and tablet devices until October, according to Australian blog TechGuide
The site suggests an exclusivity agreement with Samsung will run from Monday June 3 until Thursday 31 October.
The app is then expected to be available through other branded Android phones and tablets.
Samsung's popular Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II and the upcoming Galaxy S4 smartphones are expected to be compatible with the app.
A Foxtel spokesperson would not confirm the rumours, only offering this rather general statement:
"Foxtel is working hard on delivering Foxtel Go to a variety of Android devices, including Samsung mobile and tablet devices."
"Currently our Foxtel Go Android product is in the testing and approvals stage and we hope to announce a launch date for our customers soon."
The Foxtel Go app was first released as an iPad-only app in November 2012, before becoming available for the iPhone and iPod touch back in February.
It allows Foxtel home, Foxtel Play and Foxtel on Internet TV (for Samsung Smart TVs) subscribers to stream up to 50 live television channels, and watch catch-up TV content.
The app can also be used to remotely set recordings for Foxtel programming on any linked Foxtel iQ digital video recorder.
