Cloud and unified communications provider, Generation-e, has undergone a business restructure, dividing it into ‘Generation-e Productivity Solutions’ and ‘Generation-e Network Infrastructure.’
As a result, the company shell has been placed into liquidation, appointing Glenn Crisp and Dino Calvisi from Jirsch Sutherland as liquidators on June 28.
Managing director, Biagio LaRosa, said it was an original holding company established in 2003, which it traded under and grew, but it wasn’t established in a way that could allow it to do things such as an employee shareholder program effectively.
“We had some structural changes in being a start-up and since then we’ve grown into a substantial company,” LaRosa said. “The structure of that entity didn’t suit what we were doing anymore and the reason behind the restructure is that we’ve commenced an employee shareholder and profit share program.
“The buzz that has been circulating since our restructure is a testament to our formidable brand. The transition has been smooth for everyone except our competitors. If they lavished more attention on their customers than on us, they might be boasting similar success.”
Recently, several sources contacted ARN regarding former employees not receiving their superannuation benefits, but LaRosa said there was an issue with the superannuation company, and as of this week, the matter was resolved.
“We emailed the four employees [former and current] that were affected with what the issue was, and that the superannuation company had the funds, but hadn’t allocated it to their account yet,” he said.
Generation-e Productivity Solutions will focus on UC and Cloud technologies, as well as its partnership with Microsoft and Telstra.
Generation-e Network Infrastructure division will focus on network connectivity, cabling, wired and wireless networks.
“Our suppliers, customers and employees are all supportive with what has been going on,” LaRosa said.
He also pointed out its growing team of Microsoft Certified Solutions Masters and it had a ‘solid’ customer order book for its on-premise and Cloud solutions.
The company is also the midst of rolling out new initiatives including Generation-e TV and a new suite of UC service offerings.
