Printing supplies wholesaler Tonnex has opened a new Sydney warehouse to cater for its strong NSW customer base.
The Seven Hills site now gives the company three warehouses in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Director, George Kozman, said the new warehouse was a key facility for their national operation.
“We have a strong base of customers in NSW, particularly in Sydney, which we have been servicing predominately from our Melbourne warehouse,” he said.
“To be able to assist our customers with their same day delivery requirements, we needed to have a warehouse here."
It will also allow for efficiency gains within Tonnex’s existing Melbourne and Brisbane locations, Kozman said.
“Being able to segment our national delivery requirements across these three warehouses allows us to operate smarter,” he said.
“We can now better coordinate our courier runs, our stock requirements and our incoming deliveries based on the needs of customers relevant to each warehouse. Therefore, we expect to be able to improve our service to customers nationally as a result.”
