Solutions provider Good Technology has launched a new platform transition solution to help make a secure switch from Blackberry to Apple iOS and Google Android.
The company, one of the leaders in secure mobility, today announced a new set of products and platform transition services to ensure continuity of mission-critical secure messaging services inside enterprise and government organisations that are making the transition from BlackBerry platforms.
It includes new platform transition services and the recently announced Good for Enterprise app which starts at US$5 per user, per month.
Good Technology employs a similar architecture to BlackBerry without having to compromise on existing security policies.
Its approach does not require additional investment in costly VPN hardware and related support.
Good offers BlackBerry customers a secure alternative to protect critical apps and data on CL, BYOD and COPE devices across multiple platforms.
IDC analyst Stacy Crook said that with rapidly changing market conditions many customers were exploring secure enterprise mobility solutions.
“We’d recommend those customers look for vendors that offer solutions that deliver visibility and management of data across devices, platforms and applications,” she said.
It will conform to most modern security standards, and features FIPS 140-2 encryption and EAL4+ certification.

Enterprises can leverage Good for Enterprise, the containerised productivity app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, offering end-users enterprise-grade email, calendar, contacts and tasks, along with secure intranet access.
GFE uniquely provides enterprise-class features that streamline common tasks for users on the go and are not included in native mobile apps.
The capabilities include intelligent conference call dialing, free/busy look-up for meeting invites and on-demand mapping of meeting addresses, and rich sorting, filtering, and classification of email.
