Partnerships such as InterCall the way forward for Blue Jeans Network

Online conferencing provider sees collaborations with other providers as a way of strengthening its own platform

Blue Jeans Network’s integration with InterCall is representative of where the conferencing provider wants go to as a company.

Following the recent announcement of a partnership between the two conferencing providers, Blue Jeans Network CMO, Jay O’Connor, expects more deals like this to be struck in the future.

“Not only is it a significant partner relationship, but it is where we are headed as a company and getting other deals like that,” he said.

O’Connor said the key attraction in partnering with InterCall was for integration with Reservationless Plus, InterCall’s platform for hosting conference calls.

“The deal brings together a Cloud based video provider like Blue Jeans with a leading audio provider with InterCall into a single, unified place,” he said.

As for the immediate benefit of the collaboration, O’Connor said companies will be able to do their video and audio web conferencing via a unified, integrated solution.

O’Connor adds that the partnership forms a part of Blue Jeans’ broader strategy of connecting with other partners in the conferencing space and bringing a more comprehensive solution to organisations.

Simplifying the meeting

By partnering with InterCall, another benefit for Blue Jeans is that it has an easier way of getting its solution across to customers in A/NZ and around the world.

“If you are a customer with Reservation Plus, you can use the same product calling credentials they have today and plug them into our platform,” he said.

The integration is also designed to help overcome the uncertainty around whether the conference will be video or audio based.

“The integration means it becomes a plug and play solution that makes it dramatically easier for people to host the meetings that you want,” O’Connor said.

“People can dial in to meetings any way they want with their existing credentials."
