Fujitsu Australia grabs VMware’s partner gong

Technology giant is bestowed with VMWare’s Service Provider Partner of the Year award

VMware has selected Fujitsu Australia as its regional Service Provider Partner of the Year.

The technology giant was presented with the Asia- Pacific and Japan Region VMware Partner Network Award at VMware’s annual Partner Exchange (PEX) event in San Francisco.

Fujitsu Australia international business solutions executive vice president, Cameron McNaught, said the winning criteria were the ease of doing business, engagement in the field, and the alignment of strategies around Cloud in the datacentre.

“The award is a recognition of continued strong growth and leadership in the APAC Cloud market, as well as the success we’ve had together,” he said.

A winning partner

VMware Australia managing director, Duncan Bennet, said Fujitsu’s win is testimony to the virtualisation vendor’s approach of “working hand-in-hand” with its partners.

“We congratulate Fujitsu Australia on winning a VMware Partner Network Award and look forward to our continued mutual success in 2014,” he said.

Other winners from the Asia Pacific and Japan region included Datacom Australia, which was presented with the VMware Partner Network Award in the Renewals Partner of the Year category.
