McAfee has expanded its managed service provider (MSP) program to offer its appliances on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Products to get the MSP treatment include McAfee Next Generation Firewall, Enterprise Security Manager, Network Security Platform, and Advanced Threat Defence.
As part of the announcement, McAfee’s portfolio of authentication solutions is being added to the MSP program.
McAfee Asia-Pacific MSP and Cloud service provider director, Joel Camissar, said MSPs will be able to deliver more managed security services on a shared risk basis.
“The APAC managed service market is growing at twice the pace of traditional customer managed security deployments because it delivers a flexible, affordable security platform for businesses, supported by dedicated security experts,” he said.
Camissar added there was an industry wide shift of customers relying on managed services, and pointed to a Frost and Sullivan report that pegged the value of the Asia-Pacific MSP market to $5.3 billion in 2019 from $2.3 billion in 2012.
