Arredondo to helm CA Technologies in APJ

Senior vice president gets promoted to leadership role after Lim leaves.

Kenneth Arredondo has been appointed president and general manager of Asia Pacific and Japan at CA Technologies.

Arredondo will enter the role on April 1, taking over from outgoing APJ president and general manager, Lionel Lim.

Worldwide sales and services executive vice president and group executive at the IT vendor, Adam Elster, expects Arredondo to lead the region to new growth.

“Ken is a proven leader at CA Technologies with extensive experience and an impressive track record driving growth in emerging markets,” he said.

Arredondo has been with CA Technologies since 2006 and comes into the role as senior vice president and general manager of international growth markets.

Change in leadership

Following the promotion, Arredondo will be responsible for the CA Technologies’ business in a region that spans Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

As for what Arredondo is looking forward to the most, he points to the pace of IT innovation in the APJ region.

“Today, we are well-positioned to lead one of the most dynamic growth markets as the companies in this region embrace the critical role that IT plays in driving business competitiveness and innovation," he said.

Lionel Lim is leaving CA Technologies to “pursue personal interests,” and held the APJ leadership role since 2010.

Arredondo said he is excited about the opportunity to lead the region and thanked Lim for his contributions during his stint.
