EROAD opens in Australia

Increased demand drives cross Tasman expansion

EROAD has established its first office in Australia.

The New Zealand-owned global positioning system (GPS) and fleet services company manufactures its own products and offers telematic services based on its core technology platform.

The services include GPS tracking, driver behaviour, service and EZ message modules and business analytics.

The company said the expansion was prompted by increasing demand for telematics services, due to Cloud-based offerings and collaboration between vehicle manufacturers and telematics vendors.

EROAD commercial director, Peter Batcheler, said that global demand for telematics is guiding company growth and expansion into new markets.

“We are also very aware of the market need in Australia for a proven and reliable product and are very confident that our solution will assist Chain of Responsibility (COR) for safety, OH&S and productivity.”

The company has appointed Peter Papas as commercial manager for Australia. Papas will oversee Australian sales for the company.

Batcheler said that Papas’ experience and industry knowledge will be invaluable in growing the business as it expands the product range in Australia.
