UXC Connect wins Alcatel-Lucent Global transformational Partner of the Year Award

Australian ICT infrastructure solutions firm, UXC Connect, has won the Alcatel-Lucent Global transformational Partner of the Year Award for its Cloud unified communications.

The reseller also took out the APAC Most Innovative Cloud Partner of the Year award at the Global Executive Partner Days conference.

UXC Connect chief executive, Ian Poole, said the awards demonstrated the company’s commitment and vision in building and launching its cloud-based Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solution called iTaaS for enterprises.

“Today’s enterprises need to connect employees in a workspace that is defined by multiple work styles, devices and applications,” he said.

“This shift is fueled by consumerisation, explosive growth in mobility, cloud computing and unified communications.

"In addition, tough economic conditions and increased competition means that organisations need to reconsider everything from real estate and technology to new cultural models.”

In August 2013, in collaboration with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, UXC Connect launched iTaaS.

The solution helps enterprises take advantage of the commercial and technical flexibility and cost-effectiveness of a cloud-based model to address the challenge of delivering communications services for a highly mobile, application-driven workforce.

iTaas is based on the Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud (OTEC) platform.

UXC Connect was the first partner globally to take OTEC to the market. As well as offering the service directly to existing customers, UXC Connect is expanding its go-to-market model to offer the service to more customers through other system integrators and service providers.

In response, UXC Connect is offering customers a range of true consumption-based workspace bundles that includes unified communications, desktop hardware and office applications like Google Apps.

UXC Connect is also enabling the transformation of its customer’s network infrastructure by implementing Alcatel-Lucent’s Unified Access solution.

This gives users a consistent network service and application experience on both wired and wireless devices.
