Good Technology launches new collaboration apps for enterprise

MDM maker's new business apps will boost mobile productivity

Mobile Device Management company, Good Technology, has released a new suite of mobile collaboration apps for the enterprise.

The Californian-based company made the announcement at its Good Exchange annual conference in New York.

There are two apps that have been announced, the Good secure mobile collaboration app and Good for Salesforce1 mobile app. The firm also announced an expanded partner network.

The Good Secure Mobile Collaboration app is said to provide secure email, messaging, contacts, calendar, document management and browsing. It also features what Good describes as the industry’s 'first contextual mobile experience': users are presented with personalised information based on their activities and contacts, such as custom alerts.

The app is built on the Good dynamics secure mobility platform and offers a rich set of services through the Good-secured ecosystem, such as secure printing and document archiving. The app is the first to integrate mobile presence, pulling in current status information from the firm’s Good Connect service or Microsoft Lync.

The app will be for beta on 30 June this year. The company said it will be available for Cloud deployment as well as on premise.

Good Technology has also addressed what it describes as the growing need for flexibility amongst organisations when using a variety of identity management technology. It announced the Good trusted authentication network that it said offers customers enhanced mobile security through various authentication methods. Partners for the solution are Biometrics Associates, EyeVerify, Intercede, Mi-Token and Precise Biometrics.

The firm also announced the release of the Good for Salesforce1 app. The firm said it combines the CRM app with a secure container. Good claims the offering will allow IT departments accelerate app deployments while complying with highly-regulated security requirements to protect sensitive corporate data on personal smartphones and tablets.

The firm has released a list of new partners leveraging the secure mobility platform. The new partners include AirPatrol, CellTrust, Code Red, Infraware Polaris Office and InterPro.
