Akamai Technologies has appointed Graeme Beardsell as new managing director, Asia Pacific and Japan.
Based in Singapore, Graeme will lead all aspects of sales, business Development and Go-to-Market strategies for the entire region.
He will report to Akamai senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific and Japan, Sanjay Singh.
Bearsell has more than 25 years of senior management, sales, consulting and product management experience in both start-ups and established companies with the likes of IBM, Salesforce, Experian and Solace Systems.
Prior to joining Akamai, he was senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific at Solace Systems.
Beardsell said he was looking forward to helping more companies in the region enhance their online presence.
"Helping these companies provide better service to customers and drive more revenue," he said.
"Asia Pacific and Japan is a region that is dynamic, unique and full of fascinating opportunities in the digital and mobile spaces.
"I look forward to being part of Akamai's ongoing development and market expansion.”
Singh said Beardsell had an excellent track record on scaling businesses in Asia Pacific and was proven to be an effective leader, with a strong understanding of the technology landscape in Asia Pacific and beyond.
"I am confident in the experience and leadership Graeme brings to Akamai, which will help lead the company to greater success,” he said.
