Business intelligence (BI) application vendor Brio Software is continuing to partner its way to new customers, signing nine new channel allies recently at its Pacific user conference in Sydney.
The mix of systems integrators, value-added resellers and OEM partners includes ACW Consulting, ClickStream, Fenwick Software, InfoClarity, IQ Business Group, Orchid, Preston Aviation Solutions and Sunray, and will help Brio penetrate specific vertical markets.
"We have noticed a trend in our sector of vendors focusing on selling direct," said Brio's channel manager for the Pacific region, Stephen Dolan. "Brio does not subscribe to this view. Partners bring much to the total solution needed by customers these days."
"Despite current soft economic conditions, Brio is taking a long-term approach to growing our Australian market."
Brio has also struck a global agreement with IBM to incorporate Brio's newly released Performance Suite 8 into its data management portfolio. The deal provides Brio with access to Fortune 1000 companies and the vendor has already committed itself to supporting IBM DB2 Version 8 in its next BI suite.
