Kaspersky APAC managing director, Peter Hewett, leaves company.
Kaspersky's Asia Pacific managing director has left the company just four months after his appointment.
Based in Singapore, Peter Hewett was responsible for the company's overall business operations in the Asia Pacific region, including sales, marketing and business development functions.
Hewett confirmed to ARN that he had left his post.
"That's true," he said. "I am contractually obliged not to comment.
"I am not sure what they are doing about a replacement, you might have to reach out to them for comment."
Hewett said he was still in Singapore, but that he was in no rush to find a new role.
"There are a couple of roles in the pipeline but I am not really in a hurry now," he said.
"I will see what happens."
Kaspersky acting director of communications Asia Pacific, Jesmond Chang, told ARN Hewett left the company in November 2014.
"Kaspersky Lab’s Chief Business Officer, Garry Kondakov, will take over the management of the APAC region until further notice," he said.
"With regret, we do not have any additional comments for the other questions."
ARN also asked the company for the reason behind Hewett's swift exit.
Previously, Hewett was with Westcon Group for two years and nine months starting out as regional sales director in December 2011, before taking on the sales director job in March 2013.

Prior to that he was with Sophos for seven years in a variety of roles starting as a sales engineer in July 2004 and rising to the position of director, sales Northern Australia in November 2010.
