All AVS customers will be transferred across to Crucial’s platform this month. The purchase will strengthening its position in the small business hosting sector.

AVS CEO and founder, Nigel Burke, will also join the Crucial team. He started the company in 1997 looking after the small business market.

“Nigel brings a huge amount of capability to the Crucial team, having achieved a great deal in his 17 years at AVS,” Crucial CEO, Ijan Kruizinga, said. “ His experience will be invaluable to us as we push forward in 2015.”

The acquisition will benefit AVS customers through additional resources and support such as Crucial’s 24/7 technical support and technology stack that includes 24/7 DDOS protection and its Blaze cloud platform.

A detailed migration plan has been developed to ensure all AVS services are transferred to Crucial with no disruption to customers, Kruizinga said.
