Up for election as senior director at M2's next AGM

M2 appoints Rhoda Phillippo as non-executive director.

M2 appoints Rhoda Phillippo as non-executive director.

M2 Group has appointed, Rhoda Phillippo, as an independent non-executive director.

The appointment, effective today, highlights the board's commitment to broadening the range of skills and experience on the board, according to a company statement.

Phillippo has more than 30 years' experience in the telco and IT sector in the UK, New Zealand and Australia, beginning with 15 years at British Telecom PLC.

Other roles include transition director with Shell in New Zealand (now Z Energy) for H.R.L Morrison and Co, chief executive of Optimisation New Zealand and general manager of Telecom NZ/Gen-i's (now Spark) enterprise trans-Tasman business.

Most recently, she acted as managing director of Infratil energy Australia, leading the successful sale of the business in September 2014.

She is currently chief operating officer of at HRL Morrison and Co; a non executive director of Vix Investments and chair of Snapper Services.

M2 chairman, Craig Farrow, said Phillippo has outstanding global credentials in telecommunications, information technology and energy, "which makes her an excellent fit for the diversified M2 business."

She will present herself for election as a senior director at M2's next annual general meeting.
