1. Key channel plays for 2015

As enterprises continue to search for greater agility and means to save on IT spending, they will increasingly migrate their applications to a hybrid environment. F5 in particular, encourages channel partners to look for ways to embrace Cloud solutions. What we are seeing in the industry is that all of the vendors are really being pushed by our customers towards a hybrid environment, and specifically to consider security in the cloud as part of this.

2. Key technology for 2015

We are witnessing strong growth in businesses choosing hybrid environments in which the datacentre, Cloud, business and technology converge. In particular, Cloud bursting and migration are popular solutions among F5 customers.

From an F5 perspective, we are focused on continuing to evolve our architectural vision, F5 Synthesis, to promote the delivery and orchestration of software defined application services (SDAS) throughout datacentre, Cloud, and hybrid environments.

F5 is uniquely positioned to deliver services on premise, in the Cloud, as part of an integrated system or as a service to enable organisations to confidently manage this shift in service deployment models toward users and applications within the context of a hybrid datacentre.

3. Key message to the channel for 2015

Organisations are turning to Cloud more than ever now, not just as an option for applications, but to ensure that the network is able to deliver applications to anyone, anywhere at any time. This shift is not just about being available for immediate provisioning and deployment "in" the Cloud marketplace, but as part of the Cloud itself; as-a-service.

Consequently, this trend provides an opportunity for the channel to explore solutions that can meet the needs of those end user organisations that are considering Cloud migration and how that impacts things such as security perimeters, access control and application performance management.

4. Key warning to the channel for 2015

Don’t get left behind and stay relevant. Ways we have traditionally conducted business no longer hold the same weight and viability. Consider solutions that will meet your customers’ needs. In particular, it is important to take into account efficiency and your cost model as the industry continues to dramatically change.

5. Key to your company’s success in 2015

Cloud and security will continue to be a key focus for us in Australia. Together with our Cloud service providers, F5 looks forward to offering even more cloud and security solutions to the market that will help our customers grow in these areas.

Specifically, through F5 Synthesis F5 will continue to evolve in its architectural vision, promoting the delivery and orchestration of software defined application services (SDAS) throughout datacentre, Cloud, and hybrid environments. Most recently, F5 made significant investments to support enterprises’ hybrid infrastructure with the launch of its Silverline Cloud-based application delivery platform.
