Digital Pacific ramps up Web hosting might with Crucial buy

The two companies will continue to trade separately but have a combined team of more than 70 employees

Sydney-based Web hosting provider, Digital Pacific has acquired fellow Web hosting outfit, Crucial.

Under the terms of the deal, the two companies will continue to trade separately and retain their brands, with more than 70 employees on their books. The financial terms haven't been disclosed.

Digital Pacific founder and CEO, Andrew Koloadin, said the background stories behind the two companies were quite similar in that both were born out of small Bondi apartments more than 12 years ago.

“This has fostered very similar, customer-focused cultures at both organisations.” Koloadin said.

Koloadin said there were no planned changes to operations and both businesses will continue to operate without disruption to both Crucial and Digital Pacific customers.

Crucial CEO, David Murray, will be joining the Digital Pacific team and said the acquisition presented an opportunity for its customers with additional resources, support and infrastructure.

“The standard its team sets for the community is exceptional, and the Crucial team has a similar culture and ethos,” Murray said.
