Distributor, Bluechip Infotech has acquired the Cyberoam operation from within MPA Systems, including two Cyberoam focused staff, Matt Goodman and Philip Ashford.
The financial terms of the deal haven't been disclosed.
Goodman will take up the Cyberoam product management role out within Bluechip Infotech and Ashford will become the distributor’s business development manager in its Brisbane office.
Bluechip IT managing director, Johnson Hsiung, said he had been in discussions with MPA Systems for a few months.
“We wanted to ensure a win/win for all parties including Cyberoam & existing MPA Cyberoam partners and we are confident that we have achieved this,” Hsiung said.
Bluechip will work very closely with Goodman to ensure that MPA Systems’ partners transfer smoothly.
“There should be minimal changes, a different place for partners to send orders, they will still have Philip and myself working closely with each partner, as an upside we will be mixing in additional resources that Bluechip IT provide,” Goodman said.
Goodman has been working with Cyberoam since its Australian launch in 2008.
During that time his team grew their Cyberoam partner base to more than 300 partners.

Bluechip IT enterprise director, Phil Lancaster, said it consolidates its position around Cyberoam, increasing its capacity and profile in infrastructure security.
"We've got the good fortune of Matt Goodman joining us, who is highly respected in that area of business," Lancaster said.
