Equinix signs on Kloud Solutions as newest partner in Australia
Datacentre provider, Equinix, has signed on managed services provider, Kloud Solutions, as its newest partner in Australia. The announcement also marks Kloud Solutions joining the company’s recently launched global Equinix Channel Program.
The Equinix Channel Program was introduced to assist managed service providers, such as Kloud Solutions, to design and deploy IT and Cloud solutions for enterprise customers.
As per the agreement, Kloud Solutions will be able to resell and refer Equinix infrastructure and interconnection solutions to its customers.
Equinix Australia managing director, Jeremy Deutsch, said Kloud Solutions is a great fit for its channel program as it has a strong partnership with Microsoft and a strong track record in providing services to the Australian market.
“It enables people to leverage the Cloud, particularly within the hybrid space. That’s relevant for us because we have an interconnection platform Cloud product called Cloud Exchange, which enables businesses to physically plug in to multiple cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, from multiple networks, all from a single port,” he told ARN.
According to Deutsch, the partnership enables Kloud Solutions’ enterprise customers to leverage the solution in a fully productised package through this channel partner program and provides its customers with improved security, low-latency and high-performance direct connections with public and private Cloud providers.
“For us, this is recognition that enterprise customers need a full solution and Equinix is part of that solution. Working with partners like Kloud Solutions enables us to offer a full solution in the market together.”
Kloud Solutions managing director and co-founder, Nicki Bowers, added that Equinix’s datacentre and advanced interconnection solutions complement its hybrid Cloud offerings perfectly.
“Kloud Solutions is able implement this solution to assist meeting customers’ IT performance, reliability and cost requirements, while unlocking new revenue streams in an expanding global market.
“With its global reach and vast number of network and cloud providers within Australia, Equinix is a key portfolio for us to align with, as we continue to grow and deliver our premium managed Cloud services. We are excited to add Equinix’s hybrid Cloud solutions to our customised offerings,” Bowers added.
Equinix could possibly be looking to sign on new partners in this region in the coming months, depending on end customer demand. The company is also in the midst of constructing its fourth datacentre facility, in Sydney.
“This global partner program has only just rolled out so there will certainly be more partners in different verticals,” Deutsch added.
