Perth-based Empired has picked up another key infrastructure deal in West Australia, and will be providing managed services across 7 year deal with Western Power, with an estimated revenue return of $12 million.
"I am delighted that Empired has been awarded this contract with Western Power, this is a testament to the maturity and quality of services provided by Empired and to the strength of our leadership team when competing at the highest level," said Empired MD, Russell Baskerville.
Western Power builds, maintains and operates the electricity network across south Western Australia. The contract is for a term of three years initially, with two further two year extensions - Empired has already begun offering services.
Under the terms of the contract, Empired will provide managed services for all of Western Power's corporate IT networks across West Australia, alongside a range of project services for the enhancement and development of network infrastructure to "support Western Power's business objectives, said Western Power's CIO, Leigh Sprlyan.
"Empired demonstrated a broad range of highly credible services and were a key contender across all major packages of work being procured by Western Power," he said.
It follows a big year from the MSP, who picked up Toyota on an MSP deal, a $10 million contract with an unnamed global oil and gas company, a $15 million dollar deal with Interoil and a $20 million dollar deal with Rio Tinto.
Just last month the company reported its yearly finances, which saw its net profit jump 135 per cent to $5 million and revenue increase 94 per cent to $130 million for the 2015 financial year ending June 30. EBITDA was also up 94 per cent to $11 million.
