Engineering consulting company, Magna Systems and Engineering, has appointed Andrew King to its team as telecoms and radio frequency specialist.
The new hire looks to carry out the company’s plans for expansion and growth in supply of microwave solutions to telcos across Asia-Pacific and will be responsible for the compliance, architecture and solutions design aspects of radio frequency proposals for Magna.
King brings more than 40 years' of experience of working in the telecommunications and broadcasting industries that included stints with AWA, Aussat and Optus.
King’s previous roles included design, testing and commissioning of RF links and satellite systems as well as Network TEN where during a 13 year period, he was responsible for implementing digital broadcasting, the transition from analogue broadcasting including planning a network of in-fill gap filler translators, planning analogue switch off in conjunction with government and the restack of digital transmissions to release a digital dividend.
