Happy New Year and welcome to 2016 as the ICT industry looks forward to another fast-paced, disruptive and thoroughly evolutionary year.

And it will be the same at ARN. But before we go boldly into the future, let's remember 2015.

What a year it was for ARN. Record ARN ICT Industry Awards and WIICTA nominations, a new event that raised the bar significantly - EDGE, a welter of roundtables, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. 2015 was busy.

And highly successful. With a massive surge in website traffic - up more than 640,000 page views year-on-year, ARN - already the leading ICT industry and channel title by a long way - romped even further ahead, leaving its competitors in the dust.

In fact, in the 24-year history of ARN, there has never been a better year online.

And what about the industry leading awards! The 2015 ARN ICT Industry Awards leapt from 270 nominations in 2014 to 460 in 2015 - up 70 per cent - as 685 people packed into the Hilton ballroom in Sydney for the biggest Awards yet.

And massive interest in the 2015 ARN Women in ICT Awards saw entries smash the previous record, hitting 199 for just seven categories. This represented an extraordinary increase of nearly 143 per cent on the figure for 2014.

ARN also launched the hugely successful EDGE which was held in tropical Port Douglas, Queensland. EDGE is designed to bring the A/NZ channel together in a collaborative and educational environment and gives vendors, distributors and channel partners the competitive advantage necessary to bring continued success.

We recently announced that EDGE 2016 will be held on beautiful Hamilton Island from August 7-11. More details in the New Year.

And that is just the beginning. ARN has a barrage of events and editorial initiatives it will also announce early in 2016 as it continues to lead the way in the ICT industry.

Until then, from everybody at ARN, have a safe and very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And thank you for your support. Now for some holidays!
