Artis Group takes BioSurveillance Solution to the US

Will take part in elevate61 to connect with US customers and investors

Application developer, Artis Group, has been selected to take part in elevate61, a program that helps Australian businesses fast track their growth into markets such as the US.

The program is a strategic alliance between Advance and KPMG, and will help companies like Artis Group connect with US customers and investors.

Artis will use the program to its launch its Cloud-based Business Intelligence Spatial (BIS) platform that features remote app capability, geospatial mapping, data mining, analytics and reporting.

Artis technology strategist, Justin Domaingue, said for governments who need to prepare for, and deal with, biosecurity, bio surveillance and bioterrorism events, BIS was an ideal solution.

“It can be easily configured for specific deployments, with in-built emergency mode allowing the client to focus on a crisis or event,” he said. “BIS offers fast access to information and real-time data, as well as geospatial mapping to pinpoint and isolate an incident; providing the ability to track, contain and eradicate disease outbreaks as well as certifying produce for export.”

The platform has already won the Microsoft CityNext Award in 2014 and was featured as part of a Microsoft ISV showcase at Parliament House in 2015.

“Events such as the Avian Flu outbreak in May 2015 throwing Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa into states of emergency, provides an opening for such a solution. The declarations involved culling more than 33 million birds in 16 US states,” Artis Group CEO, Chris Greatrex, said.
