Expense8 builds on momentum with new customer wins

Expands its global footprint

Subsidiary of global software technology group, 8common (ASX: 8CO), Expense8 has signed on two Australian brands to its Software-as-a-Service platform.

The company has added on home improvement and hardware company, Mitre 10, and communications networks company, BAI Communications, to its customer portfolio, following the recent announcement that the NSW Department of Education Purchasing Card Solution has onboarded its solution.

It is part of a seven-digit contract for an initial three years, with provisions for a two-year extension.

Mitre 10 and BAI Communications selected Expense8 to streamline their accounting, reporting, tax compliance and governance of employee-generated expenses.

Some other businesses within its pool of clients include Woolworths, the Australian Electoral Commission and Roche Australia.

8common CEO, Nick Gonios, said coupled with recently established partnerships with travel companies Fortune Travel in Singapore and Sunway Travel in Malaysia, Expense8 is well poised to expand its footprint both regionally and internationally.

“The wins are a testament to our product superiority and how we simplify technology experiences for our customers. These customers had specific challenges unique to their business, yet they recognise the cost and time advantages and technology innovation that Expense8 can bring to the table,” he said.

Mitre 10 and BAI Communications attributed Expense8’s reporting capabilities and automated processes to its commitment to technology innovation and user-centricity.

“Expense8 offers flexibility and hence, the best fit for what we need. In addition, its rapid implementation time, fast onboarding and user-friendly features were huge pluses for us,” Mitre 10 AP and rebates manager, Pratima Chand, said.

“What resonated with us was that the team at Expense8 fully understood our business challenges and technical requirements. The knowledge and expertise of the team were evident throughout the process,” BAI Communications finance manager, George Meimaroglou, added.
